I wanna have some fun today. Not that I don’t have fun most every day, but this time I’m gonna drag you in on it too!
So here’s the deal. I have this nifty little SanDisk Cruzer 8GB Flash Drive and I’m going to give it away to some lucky guy or gal. Brand spankin’ new in the wrapper and everything.
How do you win? The rules are simple – just leave a comment below telling me why YOU are the one who deserves to win.
Easy as pie. OK, it’s actually easier than pie, at least for me, since I couldn’t bake my way out of a paper bag. Or something like that.
Anyhow, we’ll shut down the comments sometime next Tuesday around noon or so and pick our winner at random. Now, we’re gonna send you an e-mail when you win, so make sure you are looking for it, OK? If you don’t respond to our e-mail within 48 hours, you forfeit the prize and we’re gonna give it to someone else. Got it?

I really could use a flash drive in my work as a minister. I’m always taking work with me and always need something to carry it on. the flash drive would help tremendously.
I have alot of grandkids and one of them is Graduating this May. So I need it to hold alot of of pictures that I will be taking. I enjoy the whole newsletter and I read it every day. I have learned alot of stuff from your tips that I would have not known, had it not been for your newsletter and I recommend your site to everybody I talk to. I have been reading every newsletter you send for nearly a year, now, and I love them. (Trust me, it would be longer than that had I known earlier!)
As a programmer, web designer, as well as an avid computer user, I must say that they have helped me out of many a jam.
A new USB key would certainly help me with the 6 websites, as well as numerous software titles I maintain. Oh, yeah, and did I mention I’m 15?
I am a computer teacher and my 5th grade students are going to each create a PowerPoint slide of our local area. This flash drive would be a nifty way of getting all of their source files (60+) into one location so that I can join them into a single PowerPoint presentation. This file will then be used by the students to explain our area to another country. They will be “visiting” this country via the Polycam.
I’m the resource coordinator for an upcoming class reunion and we need donations of all kinds to be used as door prizes, raffles, etc. A great flash drive would be a wonderful prize for one of these. We are creating a program that will list all the contributors and sponsors (businesses and individuals) who have donated goods or funds to make the reunion wonderful. This would be a great bit of advertising for WorldStart’s website, business, and image. I hope that WorldStart will award me the flash drive because I know some lucky alumnus would love to win it!
If I win then I can give it to my wife and she might stop taking mine all the time.
Hello Steve, I am not saying i deserve to win as i have never won anything, but if i ever did winning something like that would be the ultimate prize, as i have friends and yes i have sent them your web site and i know my mom receives your newsletter as well, especially your Just for Grins. But what i would do is place security programs and scum remover programs on it. The price i would charge them… Simple!! I would
tell them how i got it and tell them to sign up for your newsletter and learn some more about computers by reading your newsletter.
If they needed help again i would then charge them a very moderate fee and again tell them if they sign up for your newsletter i will drop the fee to zero. I have learned a lot from you and i guess a friend of yours Clif Sipe from Techie Buzz and his newsletters Clif notes.
So anyhow even if i do not win thanks for the great news letters.
I think everyone deserves to win something in their lifetime and I admit if we only receive just one win I am already ahead of the game. I once won a 5# bag of flour on a phone in contest to a radio station. With that I baked lots of cookies for my 4 boys and their dad. Some time later I won again at the same radio station. This time it was a watch… my choice of a man’s or woman’s. I didn’t have a watch but my husband convinced me that he really, really needed one more so guess who got that prize. I lost out on the watch and a few years later I lost the husband too, to another woman. Actually I kicked him out when I found out about the other woman. That was back in 1976 and though I did meet and marry the prince of all men, I have never won another contest. After all these years I think I deserve to win just because I have survived for nearly 74 years, have 7 children, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren!
Oh my gosh! I really could use a flash drive. I have so much stuff on my computer(way to much stuff!) that I could save. I wish I had an external HD but can’t afford that so a flash drive would be a big help!

I deserve the Cruzer 8G because it would hold such a special place in my home. Right next to my laptop heart! This is what I could use for my music, photos, eBooks, business, etc., etc. The list is almost endless.

After reading all these comments I can’t imagine how you will be able to decide who “deserves” a SanDisk Cruzer flash drive. There are so many people who really could use one and there are so many seniors (including me, I’ll be 79 on Easter Sunday) who would love to have one. How about putting all the names in a hat and drawing one out to be the winner ….. just a suggestion. You must be pleased to know how much your Newsletters are appreciated for helping so many people with their computers. You sell a lot of good stuff too. Thanks Worldstart.
I think I deserve it as people like me staying in a remote village were able to receive mails from IT Guru like you for the past 3-4 years thereby upgrading computer-handling-skill of novices like me.

i am a missionary and travel constantly to other countries. So far I have been in 29 countries around this old world. As you know a large section of the viruses are created in other countries. Why risk getting a bandit on your laptop When you could use a flash drive and never bring home that germ. I have the need to carry a lot of information with me all the time and how great would it be to put it all on one flash drive and stick it in my pocket. Another reason: If you have ever been outside the U.S. you already know this. They have unbelievable power surges and I have on many occasions lost everything I am working on in an instant. The power may go off completely and stay off for days and when it comes back on… Look Out! Can you say “spike”?
